The CycleSafe Network is a system of safe, easy-to-follow walking and cycling routes connecting destinations across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.

The CycleSafe Network Proposal overcomes the key barriers to active travel: it provides convenience, connectivity and an environment in which people feel safe walking, and cycling. It can make walking and cycling a viable transport option for our region and will deliver major economic, social and health benefits.

Charlestown to Coast Shared Path

Check out our new video showcasing the proposed Charlestown to Coast Shared Pathway.  This pathway would provide access from Charlestown shopping centre, local schools and residencies to the Fernleigh Track, as well as, to Dudley Beaches and schools.   It is an excellent example of what dedicated bicycle and walking infrastructure could do for our region.  A special thanks to Phil Buckner for making the video.
